web site listing said good to very good. gun was junk. called, returned gun . I was told you were sending me a hand select m48a- sorry, not an hand select rifle, not even close. hard way to learn not to purchase any more guns from this seller. very disapointed
I was pleasantly surprised by getting a matching serial numbers gun. When I first started looking for a gun similar to a K98 without paying the high price, I learned about the M48. The next thing I found out was that they are becoming relatively scarce. After searching the Internet and finding several sites that claimed to have them, J&G was the only place that actually had one for me. The price was reasonable, shipping was quick and I was happy with what I received, matching serial numbers and all. The condition of the gun was decent considering it is military surplus and has been around longer than I have. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and will continue to shop J&G.
My first rifle came in fair condition at best. It has a lot of rust and corrosion on it, from the butt plate to the barrel. I called and sent it back. I got my replacement in today and well its better than my first but marginally. Same corrosion everywhere just not as bad. I'd say its good but barely. I did not expect to get a rifle like the one in the MAC video but I did expect one similar to the ones pictured. They are a little rougher than that so buyers beware and don't expect it to be great.
