Springfield M1922-MII bolt action rifle chambered in 22LR. Has an "S A" 11-35 dated 24" barrel stamped with the ordnance flaming bomb, very good bore, and good mechanical condition. Has an M2 marked "N.S." (nickel steel) type 2 polished bolt with adjustable headspace with a matching electro penciled serial number, and a Lyman micrometer Windgauge No. 48 receiver sight with a 1905 front sight. The black patina metal finish has some freckles. It also has a Model 1922 Type 4 walnut pistol grip stock with short forend, finger grooves, metal pistol grip cap, and a type 5 checkered buttplate without the trap. The stock has a few dents, dings, and a crack at the upper tang. It has a Type 4 3rd variation 5 round detachable magazine that is stamped "M2". The barrel has two plugged holes from scope block mounting and has a receiver bridge and side rail which has been drilled and tapped for scope mounting. This rifle appears to be a model 1922-MI that has been upgraded by the U.S. Government Springfield Armory to Model 1922-M2 gallery rifle specifications. During this upgrade, the model type was changed to Model 1922-MII with the serial number changed to 74XXB. This rifle is C&R eligible and is in overall good to very good condition. Used.
