Springfield 1903 MKI bolt action rifle chambered in 30-06. This rifle has an "S" 7-44 dated Sedgley barrel with an ordnance bomb and "P" proof and excellent bore. 2nd variation Bonney Forge and Tool Works replacement bolt, milled trigger guard, magazine floor plate, follower, smooth trigger, upper and lower bands, barrel band retaining spring, sling swivels/ stacking hook, and smooth buttplate. The black parkerized finish shows some light patina. The Scant type non finger groove walnut stock with reinforcing bolts has a few dents and dings and and an arsenal repaired hairline crack at the upper tang. The rifle is a WWII era "AAP" (Augusta Arsenal) stamped refurb with two "P" proofs at the wrist. This rifle has a serial number of 1176xxx, was originally manufactured circa 1921, is not import marked, is C&R eligible, and is in overall very good condition, used.
