Smith & Wesson 455 Hand Ejector MKII revolver chambered in 45AR. This 2nd model revolver has a 6.5" barrel with a pitted shootable bore, good mechanical condition, an older refinished polished blue metal that shows service, and reproduction original pattern checkered walnut center diamond grips. There are extensive British military acceptance marks/proofs on the frame, barrel, and cylinder along with a crossed pennant stamp on the frame forward of the cylinder, opposing broad arrow marks on the frame and barrel indicating removal from British military stores, and a "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" marking. The barrel is marked 45 A R (Auto Rim). There are matching numbers on the frame, barrel, extractor star, and yoke (serial number has been removed from the face of the cylinder when converted to Auto Rim). This revolver manufactured circa 1915-1917 with a serial number of 243XX has patent dates on the barrel of "OCT 8, 1901, DEC 17, 1901, and FEB 6, 1906". Overall in good to very good condition, C&R eligible, used.
