LOVE THE REVOLVER DOUBLE OR SINGLE ACTION. 4 INCH BARREL IS BEST ALL AROUND, REVOLVER WORKS WITH ECONOMY LOADS OR HOT BUFFALO BORE LOADS OR EVEN SNAKE SHOT.WHEEL GUNS FOREVER. I TRY HARD TO HAVE ONE IN EACH CALIBER AVAILABLE.

Mark speaks the truth. Activity level and seasonal changes helps me determine what I carry. I "prefer" to carry a full-size semi-auto, and usually do during the colder months when it can be concealed easily. But when it gets hot, I tend to favor a compact revolver over anything else because it tucks away so well. It can be tricky to conceal anything large without the aid of a bag or a backpack or something, and if you are active or need both hands it can get downright frustrating.

Compact little semi-auto 9mm Kahr in a pocket holster. I've shot compact revolvers and don't care for them. They're just too unpleasant to shoot for my tastes.

My Smith & Wesson Model 60 during the summer is the gun for me. Winter, it's my Colt New Agent or my Star BM. Flat and easily concealed.

My "little" Bersa Thunder. People forget the 38acp, AKA 38 auto, AKA 9mm Kurz, AKA 380, is a real 9 millimeter, just shorter and somewhat lighter. I would not worry about lack of power, especially in the most likely short range uses.

I carry a bandoleer of a dozen Hi-point C-9s, no problems with it so far, I highly recommend it. It took me a while to get used to the weight though, its way lighter than my Lahti, but man that thing was an absolute pain in the neck to carry concealed, it printed way too much.

4" GP100. Carry or don't. If you need it you got all you'll need. No compromising on the safety of those I am responsible for.... or me. Finding yourself wishing for more gun when the time comes would be a shame and could the shortest regret you would ever have.

I work in Law Enforcement so Glock is what I train with and carry off duty. Typically I carry my G43 or G19.

I carry a compact semi auto most of the time, but I am also often carrying a full sized revolver. I just usually leave that on the farm if I have to go into one of the bigger cities.
