LOVE THE TRADITIONAL BLUE WITH WALNUT STOCK OR GRIPS. EASY TO MAINTAIN WITH BREAKFREE OR TOUCH UP WITH OXPHO BLUE IF NEEDED.

NiB-X has impressed me the most, of the finishes I have used lately - it wears well, it looks great and it feels good. I will always appreciate a good parkerized finish, as a veteran - the stuff holds onto gun oil like nothing else. I haven't heard enough about nitride to make any preferences. Unfortunately the rest of them have only disappointed me. There are new metal treatments in the works that have yet to be introduced. I look forward to whatever the chemists cook up with Graphene.

I like the parkerized finish on my firearms. Being a collector I have noted that the parkerized finish stands up better than the blued. Stainless is nice on new firearms. I am not familiar with the other finishes over a long period of time.

Traditional Blueing looks the best but you cant beat the durability and corrosion resistance of black nitride. Also black nitride doesn't accumulate surface like many other durable finishes so you dont have to break in or fit parts after finishing.
