Since its illegal to purchase a gun for someone else I give money towards a gun purchase. Plus I love Me and purchased a gun for myself. So this is a very Merry Year for all my gun loving family ! Invest in the precious metals.

Chuck, it's not illegal to purchase a gun as a gift for someone else. It's only illegal to purchase it for them under their name (such as using their name on the background check paperwork while you're the one paying for it).

I am buying myself a HK45C for Christmas. Already put a down payment on it.

Stuck in Australia for work; so no new guns. Plan to add a bunch of ammo to my pile back home though.

I've been a very good boy this year, so, Santa (me) is getting me 2 new guns for Christmas!

I have been so good Santa should bring a whole bag full of awesome weapons and some ammo for every weapon in the bag until I get tired of busting rounds and he can bring me my own range with someone to clean up after me! That how good i have been!

Rarely would I gift any firearm for a holiday or a birthday - it has always been a singular special event. If I know the recipient already owns a firearm, I generally do give them ammunition. It shows that I respect and appreciate their interest in firearms during any special occasion, and it doesn't cross any lines or convey any direct acceptance of responsibility for posession or ownership. Plus, I have all year to find it at the best price - most of the time it's something I have already anyways. I have gifted pepper spray on several occasions.
