Gun arrived in good shape but dirty. I payed for hand pick and it's a nice piece after clean-up. Super dark bluing no rust or corrosion. The internals looked as new with no wear. Few small dings and scratches. Grips are in pretty good shape just waxed them and they cleaned up well. I took it to the range yesterday and my son and I both shot very tight groups @ 25 feet. Blowback model not swinging link like 1911. 1911 style grip and thumb safetys , GOOD SHOOTER! Breaks down just like a 1911. Solid Spanish Steel. Buy one before they dry up !

Gun was delivered with a broken firing pin. Contacted sales and they mailed me a good one in short order. Very happy with this response. If you're buying a bunch of antiques you probably should expect to have issues like this and J&G reacted in the best possible way.

Since this is almost a 1911 in 9mm but the design is modified so it's blowback operated, I'd read that the recoil was quite extreme, but after shooting I thought it wasn't as bad as all that. The gun is all steel and the weight mitigates much of the kick. The pistol shoots very well. I only ran one mag (range time and logistical issues) but had no problems. Will be shooting it much more after a cleaning and lube. The extensive wear adds to the character without causing functional problems. Probably going to paint the front sight orange, though! Finish is not great but no deep pits so I was considering a strip and polish followed by rust bluing, although this is a pretty inexpensive pistol to put a lot of time in on.
