Japanese Arisaka 99 bolt action rifle chambered in 7.7x58. This is a Nagoya series 3 rifle with a ground "mum", intact type numbers, and a matching oval handled bolt with a matching extractor that needs a firing pin and spring, and safety. Has a very good somewhat dark shootable bore, inverted V front sight with ears, and a blued patina metal finish. Needs a rear sight along with a magazine spring and follower. The trigger guard bow has been thinned and needs a forward guard screw. Also has a cutdown two piece wood stock that needs a rear sling swivel, an upper handguard, and barrel bands. This rifle has a serial number of 820XX, was manufactured between 1939-45, is C&R eligible, and is being sold for parts as a gunsmith special, AS Is, no returns, used.
