Japanese Arisaka 99 bolt action rifle chambered in 7.7x58. This Nagoya manufactured long rifle does not have a series number and has an intact "mum" and type numbers, mismatched bolt assembly with a plum knob and matching numbers on the bolt (welded firing pin hole), firing pin (ground tip), extractor, and knurled safety. The chrome lined bore has a welded-plugged chamber, functional unfiring mechanical condition, correct anti aircraft sight with "FAT" wings, inverted "V" front sight with protective ears, and early issue barrel bands with provisions for a mono pod and cleaning rod. The thinning original blued/patina metal finish has some pitting on the bottom metal and buttplate. The sound original two piece stock with drain holes shows dents and gouges from heavy service.
