Japanese Arisaka 38 bolt action training rifle. This single shot rifle has a dark unrifled bore designed to use blanks (not for firing standard ammunition), a matching numbered modified Arisaka pattern bolt that has a machined Knurled pattern on the rear of the safety, a ladder type rear sight, and an inverted "V" front sight without ears. The receiver has no "mum" or manufacture identification marks and the receiver ring is marked with three unknown Japanese characters. The finish is blued/patina and is pitted in areas. The one piece wood stoc has the original finish and a few dents and dings, and cracks at the wrist, on the forend, and at the butt. Overall in good to very good condition, C&R eligible, used.
