Japanese Arisaka 30 bolt action training rifle. This is a Koishikawa (Toyko) None series "hook safety" training rifle. The "mum" and type & original serial numbers were nicely removed, with the receiver ring then marked with three Japanese characters which signify "Blank Ammunition Only". It has a smooth unrifled bore designed to use 6.5mm blanks (not for firing standard ammunition), mismatched numbers, late issue ladder type rear sight, and an inverted "V" front sight without the ears. Has original blue patina metal finish, and original 2 piece wood stock with some accpetance stamps. Stock has typical dents, dings, and scratches from service. Approx 10,000 of these type 30 rifles made between 1897 to 1904 were turned into trainers with a smooth bore. Serial number 21xx, C&R eligible, and is in overall good condition.

Rifle appears functional, however, because of conversion to blank firing/ training rifle only, sold as a Gunsmith Special, AS IS, No Returns, Used.

Maryland - Handguns made after 1984 must be approved by MD DOJ. No assault rifles. No assault pistols. No folding pistol grip shotguns.
Massachusetts - Handguns made after 1997 must be approved by MA DOJ. C&R handguns are sent to 01 FFL dealers only. No assault rifles.
New Jersey - C&R handguns are sent to 01 FFL dealers only, No assault rifles.
New York - C&R handguns are sent to 01 FFL dealers only. No assault rifles. No assault pistols, or pistol version of rifles.
Oregon - All firearms must be sent to 01 FFL dealers only, not 03 C&R holders, including C&R firearms.
Washington - No assault weapons.
Washington DC - no firearms.
