Japan Nambu Type 14 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 8x22 Nambu (Pistol). This Nambu Rifle Factory (Chuo Kogyo), manufactured pistol under Nagoya Arsenal supervision has a large trigger guard with a very good bore and mechanical condition, matching numbers on the frame, polished bolt, early-type knurled cocking knob, and trigger. Has a nice blue metal finish that shows some light patina, with a straw finish on the trigger, safety, magazine release, and sear bar. Has 25 serration mahogany grips (right grip has a small repaired crack) and includes an original electro-pencil matched nickel-plated magazine with a "pot-metal" 9-groove finger grip base. This pistol has a Showa date 14.9 (1939 September), of special interest is a Showa date 14.9 was a period of transition in the design of Type 14 pistols. During this transition Type 14's were manufactured with either the small or large trigger guard. This pistol may have been professionally refurbished, serial number 672XX, C&R eligible, and is in overall very good condition. Used.
