Exactly what I expected from a military surplus rifle. Some dents and gouges in the stock, a little light surface rust. Rifle cleaned up nicely and had a surprisingly nice bore. Handles and shoots well, even with the undersize factory ammunition.

Good to Very Good description is accurate. There is a lot of blue on the metal, but some underlying pitting on the barrel where the markings are. Very slight rust under the wood which cleaned up well. This rifle was probably arsenal re-blued at some point. Bore is a bit frosty with rounded lands but significant rifling remaining. Still trying to get grooves cleaned up. Crown looks good. It is a 1942 Bresia made rifle with a Terni made stock. Stock and barrel numbers match. Forgot to check to see if barrel and receiver numbers match when I had it apart. Stock is birch and in good shape with minor dings and dents. Stock heavily coated in shellac and Terni stamp barely legible. Shellac applied while metal was in stock so some shellac on metal, too. Well packed with sufficient padding. Shipped in a reasonable time frame. So, as advertised and reasonable condition for a surplus rifle.

Fantastic condition about 90% new condition and again I am thrilled with J&G's performance.

What I expect in a military surplus, clean and functional. Picked up ammo while I was at it.
