Enfield #1 MKIII* bolt action rifle chambered in 303 British manufactured by RFI with a buttstock socket marked with crown over G.R.I. (Georgius Rex Imperator), 1950, SHT LE III*. Has a dark bore, functional bolt, frozen safety, magazine cuttoff and magazine, a rust/patina metal finish, and matching numbers on the receiver, rear sight, and nose cap. The furniture shows heavy use and has a loose buttstock with a brass buttplate and brass unit marked ID disc. The forend between the receiver and lower band is wrapped with red painted lace on the leather cover. Includes a vintage leather sling. This rifle has a serial number of 89XX, is C&R eligible, and is sold for historical reference as a gunsmith special, As Is, no returns.
