8mm Mauser (8x57, 7.92x57) Greek 198gr full metal jacket FMJ ammo. Produced mostly in the late 1930s by PCH Pouderie Et Cartouche Helene and has the 7.92x57 JS s.S. (schweres Spitzgeschoß) pointed bullet with lead core and bi-metal jacket (attracts a magnet), brass case, and corrosive berdan primer. For use in bolt action Mauser rifles, but due to expected hangfires and duds, it is not for use in semi or full auto firearms. 15rd Box.

ATTENTION: All ammunition requires an adult signature over 21 upon delivery, no exceptions.
Cannot ship ammo to Alaska, Hawaii, or US Territories.

ATTENTION: The following locations have ammunition restrictions.
Los Angeles, Chicago, or Cook County IL - We will only ship to an FFL dealer.
California - We will only ship to a C&R holder with COE, an FFL dealer, or to a licensed Ammo Vendor.
Connecticut - State permit, Ammo Eligibility certificate, or FFL is required.
Illinois - FOID card must on file before we will ship any ammo.
Massachusetts or Washington, DC - No ammo delivers.
New Jersey - FPID card must on file before we will ship handgun ammo.
New York State - We will only ship to an FFL dealer or Keeper of Ammo certificate holder.
Rhode Island - State gun certificate, hunting license or FFL is required.

These are old surplus military type ammo. The are a little dirty, but I would be too if I hadn't taken a bath in over 60 years! They all look good. I haven't fired any yet. The price was definitely right.

Exactly what you'd expect for ammo that's over 50 years old. I wouldn't use it in a life and death situation, but lots of fun for a Saturday of shooting.

Price is irrelevant here. The ammo showed up very dirty and very poorly packed in quart-sized Ziplocks that has been ripped through by the rounds in shipment. I divided mine into 4 sets of 50/ea in new bags and my hands were as black as when I had a newspaper route and had to sort bundles and stuff bags for delivery. Once I got them to the range and out of 5 that I tried, I had 1 failure to fire after a good firing pin strike, 3 delayed firings and only 1 that performed as expected. I am not going to be recommending anymore surplus ammo from J&G to anyone. What a waste.
