When this gun arrived I was a little disappointed to say the least. The dust cover had a lot of pitting on it and had some rust on the front sight. However J&G's customer service took care of me and sent out a new dust cover. The gun now cleaned and with the new dust cover installed, I took it out to the range. I put 200+ rounds through it and had not one feed issue or failure to fire. It ate every kind of ammo I put in it. I used 4 different types of magazines and had no wobble issues with any of them. Any one starting out with an AK platform should definitely check this one out.
Be aware that the M70B uses specific parts and not all AK47 parts will be interchangeable. It's a very solid platform and if maintained properly will last you a very long time.
I ordered two of these rifles, one of them looked great, the other one not so much. I have to go with the lowest one for the review because if you only order one you have no idea what you will be getting. The rifle in the poorer condition has a lot of pitting. It is obviously a parts gun. The bolt is extremely pitted including the bolt face, even part of the dust cover is pitted. When buying a new rifle I wouldn't expect the bolt to look like it had been dug up out of the ground. I'm sure it will fire fine, but I expect better when purchasing a new rifle.
Other than that my only other complaint is the Century stock. It has a rubber butt pad on it with a giant Century logo on it that I don't really care for.
The heavier duty receiver with the bulged front trunion is nice.
