Pistol was as described. Bore is in good shape. Heavy machining marks as I have heard about late war produced P38s. I am very satisfied.

The pistol is in good shape, it has other stamps from the importing company and different markings on the barrel. Other then that I am very happy with the pistol overall.

I ordered a "byf" coded pistol. It looks very nice from the outside, at least VG+. The slide and barrel are matching, made by Mauser( code 135), and the frame is forced matched on the right side (xxxx-ed original serial numbers on the left side), but the frame is actually made by Spreewerke (code 88).It was expected that some numbers would be mismatched/forced matched, so not a big deal there. The magazine is like knew, but not matching. A little disappointed that the barrel has a lot of pitting. But I am hoping that some of it will clean up after some shooting. I have not shot the pistol yet, but the slide is very well fitted to the frame, not much wobble at all. Overall a good buy for the money. If the pistol were matching, it would cost at least 50-75% more. I wanted a good quality shooter pistol, and I hope it shoots well.
