Quite happy, stock was in decent shape, cleaning up nicely, some exterior rust but a very nice bore. Only mechanical issue found (the safety) was an easy fix, giving the rifle a detail cleanup and hope to have it reassembled and out to the range for some serious shooting next week.
The rifle was as described. It came as a complete rifle everything there except the cleaning rod. There was cracks in the stock but they were easily fixed, the barrel shows the the ware of years and thousands of rounds but is still shootable. Overall I am very happy with the rifle I received! It will make a fine pice for my collection and an even better Conversation peace. The stories these rifles will never tell the of individuals (man or woman) that used them is visible in every mark on this gun.
not much wrong with this rifle (broken firing pin) good barrel, fair wood. my only problem is the cost---these guns are worth about $75.00 (my opinion) in todays world it's money-money-money.i've been buying from j&g for years--remember the $60.00 negants and the &30.00 Turkish mausers
