Rock Island 1903 bolt action rifle in 30-06 with a low number (serial number 169XXX) and a circle "S" (Sedgley Mfg CO) 2-45 dated barrel with ordnance bomb and "P" proof with a very good bore. Features a 2nd variation "X" marked Smith-Corona manufactured bent handle bolt that is electro pencil matched to the serial number, all milled parts, and a good mechanical condition. The thinning metal finish shows scratches and high edge wear and the "C" type pistol grip stock with smooth milled buttplate has dents and dings from service. This is a DCM/CMP rifle with certificate of authenticity, 2002 shipping documents, instruction manual, and CMP "low number" Springfield warning. Includes the original shipping carton and lock. Originally manufactured circa 1909, this rifle is C&R eligible and overall in good to very good condition.
