Japanese Arisaka 38 bolt action rifle in 6.5x50 Japanese. This Koishikawa (Tokyo) with no series number has an intact "mum" overstruck with a ring of small circles indicating that the rifle was removed from military service and issued for school training. The school mark is stamped between the "mum" and type "38" characters on the receiver ring. Also has mismatched numbers, "B" barrel proof , dark shootable bore, ladder rear sight, inverted "V" front sight, and a nice blued/patina metal finish. Two piece wood stock has a hairline crack through the wrist and shows dents and dings from service. The rifle was manufactured circa 1906-35, is C&R eligible, and in overall good to very good condition, used.
