Japanese Arisaka 38 bolt action carbine in 6.5x50. This Koishikawa (Tokyo) carbine has no series number, a ground "Mum", and intact type numbers. The mismatched bolt has matching numbers on the bolt, extractor, firing pin, and safety. The carbine has a "S" marked barrel with a good somewhat dark shootable bore, an original blued/patina metal finish, traces of "Straw" on the trigger and rear sight spring and nitre blue on the magazine follower. The sound 2 piece wood stock shows typical dents and dings form service. Includes a reproduction cleaning rod. This carbine was manufactured between 1906-35, C&R eligible, and in very good condition.
