Japanese Arisaka 38 bolt action carbine in 6.5x50. This Koishikawa (Tokyo) carbine has no series number, an intact "Mum" overstruck with appears to be a school mark, additional school mark stamped between the "Mum" and type numbers, a serial number that starts with "00" to indicate removal from military service and issue to a school, and mismatched parts. The carbine has a dark bore and a blued patina metal finish. The two piece wood stock shows dents and dings from service and has a rectangle with unknown characters stamped on its right side a lightly carved "PII" on the left. Includes the cleaning rod. This carbine was manufactured between 1906-35, C&R eligible, and in good to very good condition.
