Weather has been too bad to get out and try the weapon out yet. I like the carbine style, even though it is a bit on the heavy side.

Seems to be a nice little firearm. I've cleaned it and installed the necessary parts to fire it but have not made it to the range yet. I purchased the carbine to be a back up for my Glock model 22 in the same caliber and it looks like it will do the trick.

for what it is... a small caliber carbine with only a ten round magazine, its a pretty tough unit. out of the box it put out 300 rounds of 180 grain blazer without a single issue. i was able to hit the steel at about 150 meters. but it seems to do its best inside 100 meters. for the price its well worth it in my opinion. only draw back is the magazine capacity. i changed out the sling for something a little tougher and added a red dot for faster target picture. stock iron sights are pretty good except in low light conditions. i have no worries about it being reliable for now, and may buy another.

I took this carbine to the range and ran about 120 or so of 165 gr target ammo through it. It didn't skip a beat. All I did to it before it was shot, was to run a bore snake through it to get rid of excessive oils in the barrel.
I have an older fugly 995 and the newer stock is much easier to break down for deep cleaning.
Great job Hi-point for a decent inexpensive carbine, and J&G for the smooth transaction and FFL shipment.
Next, 4595TS.
