Chinese SKS Type 56 Semi Auto Rifle, 7.62x39, Military Surplus Issue with Bayonet, C&R. Used.
15-2264xq
 $329.95
Enter Quantity: (Availability: Available)

Original Chinese 56 SKS rifles, military surplus specification with chrome lined bore, barrel threaded into receiver, milled parts, and folding blade bayonet. These early rifles were used and show wear from active military service, with little metal bluing finish, and rough wood stocks. Do not expect a cleaning rod. Overall Fair to Good condition, functioning shootable rifles, may have spots of corrosion, heavily preserved in cosmoline. C&R eligible. Serial numbers do not usually match. Most marked with factory 26 in a triangle.

ATTENTION: Firearms ONLY ship to an FFL holder (or C&R if eligible). If you do not have an FFL (Federal Firearms License) then you must find one in your area to do the transfer for you, and you must enter their address as the shipping address on your order.

For what I was looking for, I was not disappointed. The rifle is not fit for the parade ground, and that's just fine with me. After thoroughly cleaning out the cosmoline, I took it down to the range. It functioned perfectly. My first shot was at a 2 liter soda bottle, filled with water. At 75 yards away, that first shot took it out. The rest of the day was just as good. I'm looking forward to converting it to bullpup with the kit made by Shernic Gun Works.

Product exactly as described (Actually in slightly better condition) I cleaned up the cosmoline in about 4.5-5 hours and took it shooting the next day. I've run 150 rounds of steel cased ammo through it and have not had a single issue.

The Good:
Excellent bore!
No rust!
Solid stock!
Early features like the blade bayonet, and milled trigger group.

The Bad
Broken Firing pin, but JG Sales did an excellent job sending me a replacement!
Oil soaked stock was totally devoid of finish. It took quite a bit of sanding and oven cleaner to get the stock feeling less spongy especially the front. For me a refinsh in 2lb shellac was needed out of the box.

Magazine wear, my rifle's magazine was causing double feeds, a 5$ dollar part for another stock 10 round'er but worth mentioning.

Overall I'm still very pleased, some worn or broken parts should be expected on a 50 year old surplus rifle. But with a few minor adjustments these SKS's work great and shoot very nice too.
